3.Damage Prevention Stakeholders
Lesson 3 outlines damage prevention stakeholders, their roles and responsibilities, and how they work together to promote a damage-free environment.
4.Pre-Disturbance Planning
This lesson covers key elements of a ground disturbance code of practice, typical hazards of a ground disturbance project and how to assess those hazards, and the value of the DIRT report. It finishes by reviewing approval requirements and organizations involved in issuing approvals.
5.Pre-Disturbance Preparation
Lesson 5 describes pre-disturbance searches, locates of the target area, and requirements for notifying stakeholders. This includes the role of one-call centres. This lesson also emphasizes the importance of maintaining accurate documentation of pre-disturbance preparation activities.
6.Disturbance Execution
The sixth lesson identifies key disturbance execution responsibilities and highlights the importance of effective communication including pre-job and tailgate meetings. It also reviews regulatory requirements around hand-expose zones and mechanical excavation.
