There are 5 chapters and a final exam in this online training course. Once you pass your exam, you may print your certificates of completion (wallet & wall sized).

This lesson outlines Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) and the 4 quality levels you will encounter. As well as SUE’s relation to available line locating methods and the ground disturbance methods you will use
2.Locating Questions And Locate Marks
This lesson will cover what questions you must ask prior to any ground disturbance work. As well as understanding the American Public Works Association (APWA) uniform colour code and their requirements.
3.Understanding Field Delineation Guidelines
Through this lesson, you will go through line locate marking requirements for single and multiple facilities, procedures for marking over different terrain, and how to properly identify “No Conflict” areas on the job site.
4.Facility Locating Methods
The line locating methods lesson covers several of ways you are able to locate facilities on the job site, how to tell when each method is most effective, and how to effectively use the locating equipment.
5.Recognizing Obstacles And Tracing Problems
This lesson will provide you with the ability to locate obstacles and overcome common tracing problems. As well, you will go over the pre-locate, locate, and post-locate requirements and procedures.
